College Admissions Package
We will begin to work with your student as early as eighth grade, assisting in the selection of high school courses and extracurriculars that will prepare students for college and allow them to demonstrate appropriate rigor to compete for admission to selective universities. We will explore and develop a list of schools to create options, assist the student in completing proof applications, and use our hands-on approach meeting as many times as necessary since each student’s needs are unique. We also monitor each student’s academic progress and assist in attaining their maximum potential. We develop an academic resume for use in meeting admissions counselors and to enhance the application, and we guide students in soliciting favorable recommendations. We will educate your family on college options to meet your student's interests and goals and your family's budget, help to plan college visits, and set a timeline for taking standardized tests, developing essays and submitting applications. Additionally, we will support your student with interview preparation when appropriate. Overall we will support your student in helping identifying his/her own “brand” and communicating the qualities that make him/her standout as a strong candidate.
College Admissions for the Student-Athlete
We will work with your student-athlete on academic planning and on athletic recruitment to meet both his/her goals for college admission and collegiate athletics. College athletic recruiting for scholarship and non-scholarship student-athletes adds complexities to the college search process. Starting this process early is critical so student-athletes have ample opportunities to market themselves to college coaches in order to gain exposure. It also allows athletes the chance to receive relevant feedback on their potential level of college play. Additionally, overlaying the athletic networking process with traditional college planning makes finding a good match more challenging. The student-athlete’s college list may be revised several times before the final target list is complete. The process is labor intensive, but we support the student every step of the way through our proven methodology which keeps progress on schedule and reduces stress.
Summer Program Applications
We offer assistance for ambitious students who seek admission to summer programs offered at colleges for high school students desiring enriching academic experiences in technology, science, business, arts, pre-professional and other fields of interest along with the early exposure to college life. We can assist in the selection of these programs in addition to providing support for the application process.
